I don't usually want to talk about regret.

This is the day I really want to talk about something I truly regret creating.

YmmBot.

Every time I create a Twitter automated account, based on a character, it's solely because I like the character.

Every time I have a F/O, I create a Twitter bot based on them, ever since 2017.

YmmBot was created on February 28, 2020, as I had the character as my F/O on January 6, 2020.

No one had an active fan account based on the character, until this account got created.

As usual, the interactions with the account was low, until they grow slowly.

The point of the bot's interactions growing had let the reputation of it worse.

There was harassment, and there was people sexualizing the character with ways like NSFW accounts following it, and people replying/quote retweeting to the tweets with sexual lines.

YmmBot was my first tweet bot with rules in it.

On December 2021, I had to tweet a thread to warn individuals who checks the account NOT to follow it if they don't care if the character is a minor.

Unfortunately, it doesn't stop them.

Even adding the warning to the display name doesn't stop them either.

Before April 6, the day the bot has shut down, I was thinking about shutting it down, even before the whole situation about Twitter API.

Of all of my bots, the fact that I received wrong things, because of it, it made me become overwhelmed.

This is one of the reasons why Sysastic has also been closed.

I HAD to keep monitoring it even if the character is no longer my comfort character/fictional other, because of all of this, still going, until I finally shut it down for good.

I have blocked over 105 accounts. More than 50 accounts not understanding boundaries and reading the warnings.

Now, September 23, 2023, the account of YmmBot has been deactivated.
